Our Mission
PACC exists to provide a Christ-centered education that recognizes the God-given worth and potential of every student. Through a comprehensive and well-structured 30-week curriculum in language arts, science, Bible, history, and geography, we pursue academic excellence while cultivating a culture of truth, integrity, and responsibility. Our mission is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and biblical values necessary to think critically, lead with wisdom, and serve faithfully within their families, communities, and nation.
Who We Are
As parents we had a desire to give our children a community of like minded peers that they could grow, learn and develop academically, spiritually and socially with. We are encouraging our children to gain an understanding of the world around them while fostering their God given gifts and talents. We have found that this way of learning encourages creative problem solving skills and instills a love and joy of learning. We believe that children should be nurtured rather than merely taught.
“Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life”
Proverbs 22:6
Our Values
These are the values we cherish and actively seek to cultivate within our culture and community: restful learning, respect, honor, integrity, discipline, peace, responsibility, upholding standards, and a strong sense of community.
Educational Philosophy
We believe that children are born as persons, each with countless possibilities for who they will be and how they will impact the world. Children, in our opinion, learn best when their minds and hearts are nourished by living ideas—truth, beauty, and goodness—rather than dry facts alone. Therefore, we endeavor to spread before them a generous feast: great literature and language arts that cultivate expression, history that tells the stories of those who have gone before, geography that opens their eyes to God’s wide world, poetry that awakens wonder, art that inspires, time in nature that teaches firsthand, and the great narratives and biographies of the masters who have shaped civilization.
We desire our children to develop their own ideas using the synthetic knowledge and skills imparted to them as they have grown. When their formative years are complete, we desire for them to leave our home school with a delightful memory of learning and a passion to continue it. We believe strongly in requiring ourselves, as the educators, to continue learning and growing.
Our Curriculum
What We Teach
At its heart, a Charlotte Mason education is a living expression of Classical learning in its richest form. “Charlotte Mason” refers to an educational philosophy rather than a rigid curriculum. It shapes not only what we teach, but how we teach—treating students with dignity as persons and spreading before them a generous feast of ideas to nourish their minds and hearts.
At PACC, our students engage in a full 30-week curriculum that includes language arts, science, Bible, history, and geography—each subject approached with living books, some workbooks, meaningful ideas, and the joy of discovery.
